Opening in the Summer of 2016, The Green at Bloomfield is made up of contemporary studio, 1 and 2 bedroom apartments in the heart of downtown Bloomfield, New Jersey. This 140 unit complex will be five stories with underground parking and will total 80,000 square feet. This mixed-use residential project will include a comprehensive amenity suite featuring a residence lounge, WIFI business lounge and a fitness center. This project will also have underground parking and approximately 15,000 square feet of retail space. The 5-story, 80,000 SF Residential units with parking garage below. The garage and first floor were formed with concrete while the upper floors are wood framed.

ULMA Solution

These kinds of projects are popular in suburban environments and ULMA has just the concrete forming systems to efficiently place concrete. 

ULMA supplied approximately 60,000 square feet of our ENKOFLEX system with ALUPROP aluminum post shores using an aluminum stringer and wood joist. The aluminum posts and aluminum stringer combination provides a high strength shoring solution with a minimum of equipment, thereby increasing productivity and efficiency for the contractor.

The contractor used ULMA's MEGALITE hand-set forming system in Imperial dimensions to form all of  this project's foundation walls and columns. The MEGALITE system can be assembled and used without a crane therefore enabling the contractor to use the jobsite crane time for other functions.

ULMA was able to create the lowest in-place concrete cost solution with its unique combination of concrete forming and shoring equipment. We provided the contractor with design and stamped in-house engineering drawings as well as the logistic support to enable the contractor to complete its concrete work efficiently.
